Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA): BC’s largest regional construction association, representing over 760 general and trade contractors, manufacturers and suppliers, and providing training, support, networking, research, and advocacy support.
Homebuilders Association of Vancouver (HAVAN): The regional home-builders association with 1,100 members, including builders, developers, renovators, designers, suppliers, sub-trades and leading professionals, providing both industry and consumer education, opportunities to connect, and actively liaises with local municipal governments
Fenestration Association of BC (FEN-BC): The trade association representing the interests of businesses engaged in the fenestration industry in BC, and other interested parties, with a mission to promote and educate consumers and policymakers on the production and installation of windows and doors.
Mechanical Contractors Association of BC (MCABC): The Mechanical Contractors Association of British Columbia is BC’s only trade association exclusively dedicated to the mechanical contracting industry. MCABC represents the interests of all mechanical contractors and their suppliers through industry advocacy, networking events, education, information, business support, and industry resources.
Architecture Institute of BC (AIBC): The AIBC is an independent, professional self-regulatory body established for the architecture profession in BC and provides registration, training, research, and other services for its members and the public.
Support for Market Transformation, Training, and Scaling
ZEBx: ZEBx is a collaborative platform, launched by the VRCA and the City of Vancouver, that strengthens the public, private and civic capacities for zero emission buildings in Vancouver and British Columbia. We are an industry hub that facilitates knowledge exchange to accelerate market transformation.
British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) High Performance Building Lab: The BCIT High Performance Building Lab has been developed in partnership with BC Housing and BC Hydro in order to provide hands-on training in zero emission buildings using an envelope-first approach. This lab helps to create space for education that will elevate the state of practice of high performance buildings in BC.
Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre: Western Canada’s first cleantech accelerator, working to foster the growth of SMEs building innovative new solutions to environmental challenges
Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC): SDTC is an arm’s-length funding body created by the Government of Canada to advance new cleantech solutions and ideas.

Passive House Canada: Passive House Canada is a national non-profit professional association advocating for the Passive House high-performance building standard and is headquartered in Victoria, BC. Passive House is recognized internationally as the proven best way to build for comfort, affordability and energy efficiency of residential, institutional and commercial buildings, through all stages of design, construction, and livability.
Canada Green Building Council: The Canada Green Building Council is a national nonprofit working to advance green building and sustainable community development practices. The CaGBC administers LEED, as well as supports the WELL Building Standard and Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) in Canada.
Forestry Innovation Investments (FII): Forestry Innovation Investments works to help maintain, create and diversify markets for B.C. forest products to ensure the forest sector continues to be a key contributor to the B.C. economy.
Forest Products (FP) Innovations: FPInnovations is a private, not-for-profit organization that specializes in the creation of solutions, including market intelligence, product development, and commercialization support, in support of the Canadian forest sector’s global competitiveness.
