What is the circular economy?

The circular economy is an economic model that extends the life cycle of products to effectively design out waste. Throughout this process, waste is eliminated through the reduction, reuse, repair, and recycling of materials to limit inefficiencies and close gaps within the system.

What is a reverse pitch?

In a reverse pitch, decisionmakers share a circular challenge their business is facing. The quick pitch format is fast-moving and engaging, and allows innovators in the audience to ask questions that will determine whether they have solutions to the challenges presented.

Who should attend?

Innovators with products, services or technologies that solve circular challenges are encouraged to attend. Pitching companies are looking for product redesign, novel materials and packaging, logistics optimization, user-centered data systems, and more.

Our pitching companies will represent a wide array of industries. The event presents a rare opportunity for innovators to learn about specific circular economy and waste challenges faced by large Canadian corporations and to directly propose their solutions through networking, and scheduled 1-to-1 meetings.

If you can’t attend the event in person you can still submit your solution online.

Want to meet with one of our pitching companies 1 on 1 at the event?

All the pitching companies will hold time slots for innovators to discuss their circular solutions in-person on the day of the event. Register now to be notified once these slots become available!
