Location: Vancouver Convention Center East | Meeting Room 1 (2nd Floor)
Format: In-person. Light snacks and refreshments provided.
The circular economy is an economic model that extends the life cycle of products to effectively design out waste. Throughout this process, waste is eliminated through the reduction, reuse, repair, and recycling of materials to limit inefficiencies and close gaps within the system.
In a reverse pitch, decisionmakers share a circular challenge their business is facing. The quick pitch format is fast-moving and engaging, and allows innovators in the audience to ask questions that will determine whether they have solutions to the challenges presented.
Innovators with products, services or technologies that solve circular challenges are encouraged to attend. Pitching companies are looking for product redesign, novel materials and packaging, logistics optimization, user-centered data systems, and more.
Our pitching companies will represent a wide array of industries. The event presents a rare opportunity for innovators to learn about specific circular economy and waste challenges faced by large Canadian corporations and to directly propose their solutions through networking, and scheduled 1-to-1 meetings.
If you can’t attend the event in person you can still submit your solution online.
All the pitching companies will hold time slots for innovators to discuss their circular solutions in-person on the day of the event. Register now to be notified once these slots become available!
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with large Canadian companies that could benefit from your circular product, service or solution.
What does it cost: Tickets range between $0 – $30, based on your company size and model.
Plus, submit your solution.
The Zero Waste Conference brings together business leaders, community innovators, and policymakers who understand the value of a circular economy. In a rapidly changing world, it is more important than ever to create solutions that combine economic opportunity with benefits to wider society and the environment.
For 11 years, the Zero Waste Conference has been at the forefront of Canada’s circular economy journey bringing together thought leaders, innovators and change makers, surfacing some of the best ideas from the past while presenting pioneering solutions that take us to a future we’ve only begun to dare dream is possible.
