Sanjana Bal
Analyst, Economic Transformation
Digital Innovation and Leadership Program (DIaL)
Sanjana supports the Digital Innovation and Leadership (DIaL) project, Canada’s flagship capacity-building project in partnership with Simon Fraser University (SFU), the Digital Supercluster, and industry partners.
As a believer of a human-led tech-powered approach to enable social good and business resilience, Sanjana helps Vancouver’s small and medium enterprise transition towards a digital economy. In her role, she actively identifies Vancouver businesses to recruit into the DIaL program, convene strategic forums and outreach activities, and works closely with partner organizations to develop new learning cohorts. These include businesses that are heavy contributors to Vancouver’s current economy and are susceptible to the impact of growing digitalization.
Prior to her role at VEC, Sanjana supported SMEs across Canada in strategic planning and leadership development. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University (SFU) and is an ardent data and tech enthusiast. Merging her passion for organizational behavior and digital transformation, she plays a critical role in helping Vancouver’s SME business community become more resilient and future-proof.
