Athena Ren
Program Coordinator
Project Greenlight
Athena joined the VEC in 2021 as a Program Coordinator, providing project management support to VEC’s flagship innovation program, Project Greenlight (PGL).
She brings with her a strong background in project management, stakeholder engagement, and administrative experience through her education, including PMP (Project Management Professional) and CITP (Certified International Trade Professional) designations. Her career spans the diplomacy, urban design and architectural, sustainability and trade and export industries. Highlights include her tenure with an urban design and architectural studio specializing in sustainable planning, and with the Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou.
Athena has been enrolled in the MBA program from Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University since 2022. She is thrilled to enter the innovation and technology ecosystem and apply her newfound knowledge to support VEC’s projects and programs.
