Anne Farrer
Director, Brand and Research
Anne is an executive-level marketing and brand development professional with deep experience combining strategy and creative to develop breakthrough communications. Her role at the Vancouver Economic Commission is to ensure that the incredible success stories of the city and surrounding region are delivered through compelling and shareable content channels so that all Vancouverites can be immensely proud of our prosperous, inclusive and green economy.
Prior to joining the VEC, Anne held various leadership positions at mid- and large-size creative agencies working on brand development and marketing campaigns for regional and national brands including: Vancity, MEC, Shoppers Drug Mart, SFU, the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) and the Canadian Tourism Commission (now Destination Canada). Most recently she held the position of VP Agency Head, North America for global research company, Ipsos focusing on ‘bringing research to life’ through editorial content and the strengthening of their social media channels.
Anne is a past board member for Arts Umbrella (Canada’s premier arts education institution for kids) and an active supporter of the arts and the importance of arts education for children as a key to the creative innovation required to ensure future prosperity.
