Coro Strandberg
President, Strandberg Consulting Principal Member, BC Emerging Economy Taskforce
Coro helps businesses, governments and industry associations create strategies and pursue business models to address social and environmental risks and opportunities that propel society towards a sustainable future. Coro is a nationally recognized thought leader with experience in government, finance, business, and the non-profit sectors advancing transformational innovation to a low-carbon, inclusive, circular, and purpose-driven economy.
She was a Board Director and Chair of Vancity Credit Union where for 12 years she helped position Vancity as a global leader in sustainable finance. She is a co-founder of the Social Purpose Institute at United Way, helping companies define and implement their social purpose as the reason they exist. Coro is an advisor to the Federal Government on how to mobilize the private sector to advance the Sustainable Development Goals and is a member of the Government of Canada’s Office of the Auditor General Senior Advisory Panel. In 2019-2020 Coro was a member of the BC Government’s Emerging Economy Task Force which provided recommendations to ensure B.C. stays at the forefront of emerging economic developments. In 2015 she won a Clean16 Award as the top sustainability consultant in Canada.
She lives in Burnaby in a LEED Gold Certified home she built with her partner.
