Startup City Capital 2016

October 3rd - October 6th, 2016

Vancouver Startup City - Capital. October 2 - Oct 6. In partnership with NACO

Vancouver is home to a thriving, knowledge-based startup ecosystem – one that is attracting the attention of investors across North America. In recognition of this, the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO) is holding their 2016 annual summit here in Vancouver for the first time. This gathering represents the highest ever concentration of Angel investors in Vancouver.

Vancouver Startup City Capital 2016 is a focused, four-day program that allows both local investors and Angels participating in NACO to discover Vancouver’s innovative and high-potential startups. It also acts as a platform for local startups to plug into various activities throughout the week in collaboration with NACO. A PDF of our full program is available for download.

Brought to you by Vancouver Economic Commission (VEC) in partnership with NACO, Startup City Capital 2016 aims to complement NACO’s investor-focused programming by:

  1. CONNECTING Angel investor communities locally and from across North America with Vancouver’s startup ecosystem
  2. SHOWCASING early-stage, high-growth companies as potential Vancouver-based deal flow
  3. EDUCATING Angel investors by providing access to best practices and networking opportunities

About NACO

The 2016 National Angel Summit is the flagship event for the Angel investor community. With over 400 attending investors, partners and industry leaders from across North America and around the world, this is NACO’s largest summit to date.

Attendees of the 2016 National Angel Summit are expected to gain a year’s worth of knowledge and professional development through the three-day program. These include:

  • Connecting and networking with Angel peers from around the world
  • Developing relationships that may lead to syndication and improved dealflow access
  • Discovering leading best practices to tap into
  • Getting ahead of emerging trends that may impact Angel investment next year
  • Gaining insights and discussing trending issues affecting Angel investment today
  • Attending workshops, panels and keynote presentations and participating in roundtable discussions
