Are you an investor looking for top dealflow in Vancouver?

On May 29, the Vancouver Economic Commission and Highline Beta invite you to the second Vancouver Tech Showcase, to look behind the scenes of Canada’s #1 startup ecosystem and engage with Vancouver’s most promising, investor-ready companies. With Vancouver hitting record high investment levels and outpacing the world’s top ecosystems in terms of deploying early stage capital, the VEC knows that it’s getting harder and harder to find the best investment opportunities that fit your capital and support teams.

About the Discovery Foundation Capital Mentorship Program

The Discovery Foundation Capital Mentorship Program is designed to help early-stage, for-profit entrepreneurs become more strategic in raising capital critical to accelerating their ventures. Running from in two cohorts from May–July (Seed–Series A) and then from September–November (Series A–Series B), the program is comprised of a series of impactful events featuring panels, workshops, pitch training, investor–company matching and networking opportunities. Carefully selected startups will also participate in highly curated dealflow events. The VEC subsequently supports outbound missions to meet investors in key markets globally.

This program will most benefit CEOs and founders of growth-oriented technology and impact economy companies in Metro Vancouver who have already launched a product or service. Their companies generate revenue and are ready to seek external sources of funding to accelerate growth; they are planning their investment strategy and are looking at a timeline of raising capital in the next six months.

Program Schedule: Phase 2

May 29: Vancouver Tech Showcase (startups apply here by May 18!)

June: Selected companies will have access to pre-booked office hours with fundraising and operational experts from Highline Beta.

July 10 – 15: The VEC will organize two deep-dive days in Toronto and Montreal, two of Canada`s hottest investor ecosystems, in conjunction with the Montreal Startup Fest and Highline Beta`s extensive network of investor contacts in both cities.
