Worldwide, municipal leaders are setting aggressive targets to reduce landfill waste and advance circular economy initiatives for the benefit of the environment, economy, and community.
Recognizing that innovation will play a key role in the transition to a circular economy, the City of Vancouver – with support from the Vancouver Economic Commission – is exploring an opportunity to transform an industrial-sized demonstration site (formerly a recycling recycling materials receiving yard) into a space for innovators to pilot zero waste solutions. This online webinar will help us better understand the resources and connections innovators require from a zero waste demonstration hub.
Following the online session, a survey will be sent to innovators and solution providers to help us better understand and assess the infrastructure requirements and other needs for the zero waste solutions hub site.
