Part 1 of our Navigating Growth workshop duo focuses on raising capital. SPRING, along with our group of expert panelists, will guide entrepreneurs through an intensive two-hour deep dive into the capital-raising process. This session provides entrepreneurs with the training, tools and knowledge that will allow them to effectively secure capital for their business. Entrepreneurs will develop an in-depth understanding of the process, investment deliverables, and the nuances of getting investor-ready.

The organizations to benefit the most from this session will have already launched their product or service, raised a seed round, and are now ready for the next stage of growth.
About the Speaker
Vivian was a practicing lawyer in Vancouver for over 10 years, first with a national law firm and then as in-house counsel with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). As a result of her work with BDC, she decided to take her knowledge and experience further into the business realm as an advisor. She now guides entrepreneurs through various stages of their business, from inception to growth, with a focus on optimizing operations and raising capital.
Vivian will be joined by a group of expert panelists to give you a better understanding of raising a round and answer any questions you may have.

Discovery Foundation’s Capital Mentorship Program: Spring and Fall 2019
After attending the Insider’s Guide workshops, organizations are encouraged to apply for the CMP series coming in the Spring/Fall of 2019. The series invites investor-ready entrepreneurs to dive deeper into the capital-securing process. Select partner organizations and representatives will join SPRING in facilitating six weeks of two-hour sessions where companies will work through investor profiles & funnels, valuation and alternative returns, pitch preparation, due diligence preparation, negotiation skills, and a private pitch session.
