Indhira is a Director in PwC’s International Tax Financial Services practice in San Francisco. She has over 13 years of experience providing tax planning and compliance services addressing U.S. and international tax matters. She services a wide range of clients in the Asset Management space namely, private equity and venture capital funds, as well as, private and public companies in various industries including, Technology, Life Science, Consumer Products.

Shahrooz Nabavi | Fasken
Shahrooz Nabavi is a corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate commercial lawyer with an active transaction-oriented practice. He is primarily focused on technology and knowledge-based industries, representing emerging and growth stage Canadian companies and institutional, venture capital and private equity investors and acquirers of such companies.

Mike Shields | Deloitte
Mike is a Partner at Deloitte Canada in Vancouver providing Canadian, US and international strategic tax planning advice to a wide range of clients from privately owned groups and their shareholders to large multinational public companies. He primarily advises on cross-border tax matters related to Canadian-based companies as they expand and restructure internationally as well as advising US companies investing into Canada.

Charles Purcell works extensively in the alternative investments areas with a focus on federal and international tax issues. As a partner who works on global matters, he has broad experience in the formation of domestic and foreign investment funds including private equity, venture, real estate and infrastructure funds and fund-of-funds; large joint venture transactions; mergers and acquisitions; financing and banking transactions; venture capital investments and start-up companies; and compensation of managers, executives and promoters. Mr. Purcell also works significantly with developers and investors (both domestic and foreign) in alternative energy projects, including solar, biomass and wind energy facilities with a focus on federal and state tax issues.
