The Teochew International Convention has been held biennially since 1981, and allows over 3,000 participants from around the world to gather and solidify their economic and cultural ties with the host city. This leads to enhanced economic and trade development opportunities. The 18th Convention is being held this year at the Vancouver Convention Centre from August 19 to 21, 2015. It is Canada’s first time hosting this prestigious event, which will include senior Asian business leaders who are looking for investment opportunities in Vancouver.
During the convention The Vancouver Economic Commission (VEC) is hosting a Business Forum – a first and key feature of the event. The VEC worked with the Canada ChaoShan Business Association three years ago to secure Vancouver’s place as the host city and is very pleased to help put together the Business Forum.
It will have two current sessions focusing on Innovative Technology and Digital Entertainment & Interactive. Within each, there will be a panel discussion and a pitch session where the audience will have a chance to hear from up to seven CEOs from leading companies in the Technology or Digital Entertainment & Interactive sectors. They will share their ideas, business plans and opportunities for investment.
The Business Forum will be held on August 20, 2015 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm at the Vancouver Convention Centre. For more information, check out their website.
