Sonu Lake

Sonu Lake is a communications and marketing professional who has more than a decade of experience leading marketing projects and campaigns for destination marketing organizations, corporate and government entities, and tourism businesses. She works on contract with the Vancouver Economic Commission, supporting various communications and marketing initiatives such as Project Greenlight, the organization’s pioneering tech demonstration platform.

After obtaining her Masters in English, Sonu was hired by Destination Vancouver, where she spent seven years in the Communications department, first specializing in international and trade markets before managing the department. Now, as an independent consultant, Sonu provides corporate communications, media and public relations support for several organizations, including Destination Canada, the country’s tourism marketing agency; Destination British Columbia, the province’s tourism marketing organization; Martini Film Studios, a leading film studio in BC; Entrée Canada, a luxury travel tour operator; and several public relations firms whose clients span hotels and resorts, festivals and events, restaurants and vineyards, cannabis companies and more.
