Geoff Teoli

As Film Commissioner, Geoff Teoli leads business expansion and high-impact investment attraction initiatives on the city’s behalf. Geoff brings more than two decades of frontline dealings in locations, workplace safety and permitting in and around Vancouver to the position.

Through his career, Geoff cultivated a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges related to motion picture and television production, first through his 18 years as a location manager (1995-2013), and subsequently as executive director of Actsafe, the industry’s health and safety advisory and training association (2013-2018). Since joining the City of Vancouver in 2018, he has served as Senior Branch Manager in its Film & Special Events Branch, where he continues to oversee a team that manages the logistics for thousands of film days annually.

Geoff holds a Master of Business Administration from Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, certificates in Integrated Management, Strategic Leadership, and Entertainment Law from the University of British Columbia, and a Diploma of Technology, Marketing Management Technology from BCIT.
